The Wolves have been busy this summer and August has been no exception. Last week we had an AWSOME party and the boys were able to check off alot of stuff. They planned and helped with the party (elective 9). We finally completed the "Cooking and Eating" Achievement 8 that Sister Sannar had started in June. They cooked their own hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill (with a little help). They planted flowers in my planter boxes as well as a seed in a cup (this should be somewhere in your kitchen, hopefully sprouting) - elective 15. We checked off all of elective 7 - Foot Power - this included walking on stilts and cans. They had a ton of fun and I wish I had pictures, but I had misplaced my camera and just found (yeah!!).
This past week we went to the Conservation Garden Park in West Jordan http://www.conservationgardenpark.org/ and the boys got to see all kinds of neat trees and plants, most of them local to Utah and all of them used in a way that helped conserve water. This activity earned them a patch:

This activity also is getting us one step closer to that World Conservation Patch (see past post).
The activities for the month of August also helped each boy to complete his requirements for their Outdoor Activity Patch (see previous post), and their My Hometown Patch. Our
The month of September will be full too. We will be able to finish our Leave No Trace requirements and get that patch. I also have a trip to Cabela's for a fishing lesson planned.
Since school has started, our meeting time will change. Sister Sannar should be getting a hold of each of you to let you know what the new time will be. She is also having the Den Meeting this week in her home. She should be letting all of us know about that as well.
As always..... let either one of us know if your son has completed ANY activities that check off on ANY requirements so that he can get his award.
Be proud of your boys.... they are AWSOME!!!!
